LATE MR. HAROLD WILSON DEATH IN PERTH WELL-KNOWN SOLICITOR It was with feelings of the deepest regret that a large circle of friends heard of the death of Mr. Harold Wilson, barrister and solicitor, formerly of Francis Street, Geraldton, which took place in Perth on Saturday. The deceased gentleman, who was a native of Croydon, Surrey, was born in 1866. He took his L.L.B. degree with honours at London University, and came out to Western Australia in 1890. He remained in Perth for about thee years, and then came to Geraldton, where he started in practice on his own account, continuing until his retirement some years ago. He was held in the highest respect by all who knew him. He took an active part in politics in the days of the old Liberal League. He married Miss Jean Darling, daughter of the late Mr. Robert Darling, of Fremantle, in 1912, who predeceased him some years ago. Several years ago his health began to fail, and he was compelled to relinquish his professional work. He went to Perth, and his health gradually grew worse, and he passed away as stated. He leaves five children, and of these the three eldest, Robert, Douglas, and Annie, left by car on Sunday afternoon for Perth to attend the funeral, which took place yesterday. |
